1. Run Nona 5K
On Saturday afternoon, Aug. 28, 2021 the Lake Nona community welcomed back Run Nona H20. This signature Lake Nona event brought runners and walkers of all ages and had a a “splashing time” as they explored Orlando’s coolest community.
2. Lake Nona Performance Club Tour
We were honored to tour the Lake Nona Performance Center this day.
Lake Nona’s new neighborhood, Laurel Pointe Lake Nona, an intimate, gated community of single-family homes built exclusively by Toll Brothers.
Crystal Lagoons and distinguished hospitality asset manager ADËLON Capital consolidated a master agreement for the development of at least five Public Access Lagoons™ (PAL™) projects accessible to the public by purchasing tickets. One of their forthcoming projects – currently in the design and planning stage – will be in Lake Nona.
One of the latest additions coming to the Nonahood this fall, just south of Lake Nona Plaza on the corner of Laureate Boulevard and Narcoossee Road, is Lake Nona Greenwood – a brand new shopping center that will serve as a great expansion to the local dining and retail scene.
6. $1.2 Billion Expansion Planned for Osceola County’s NeoCity
Osceola County continues to develop their vision for their high-tech community, NeoCity. Per an agreement approved on Sept. 20, the innovative area will have its town center designed by South Korean tech giant Young-hwa Song, founder and CEO of DS Semicon and its US affiliate, DSUS LLC. Song will give Osceola County $14.1 million for the 25 acres of land and launch their groundbreaking plans for the hub, which will ring in at an estimated $1.2 billion value.
7. WDW and TDC in talks for LN properties
The Walt Disney Company and Tavistock Development Company are in talks for new residential and commercial properties right here in Lake Nona. Tavistock looks to develop 4,192 residential units and 2.4 million square feet of non-residential space, which is where the location of these developments might fall.

You may have noticed the glorious new signage for P.F. Chang’s To Go below the Pixon apartment building in Lake Nona’s Town Center. In just one month, the new restaurant will open and serve your traditional Chinese favorites to-go. Lake Nona’s newest eatery will provide Asian fare completely and deliciously from scratch
10. Initial P.F. Changs Announcement
On April 6, Tavistock Development Company announced the arrival of a P.F. Chang’s To Go at Lake Nona’s Pixon apartment community. P.F. Chang’s To Go was introduced in 2020 with a vision of operating smaller than a full-scale P.F. Chang’s but still providing their most-loved menu items, including Chang’s Lettuce Wraps, Mongolian Beef, and Dynamite Shrimp. With current locations in New York, Austin, Chicago, and Jacksonville (the first Florida location that was recently announced), this will be the first P.F. Chang’s To Go in the Central Florida area, expected to open this fall.
11. Sunbridge’s Weslyn Park’s Amenities
Tavistock Development Company recently filed construction permits to extend Cyrils Drive. This road extension is an important part of the project’s Phase 1 plans to build a marina district at its massive Sunbridge development.

13. Sunbridge development moving forward
The 24,000-acre Sunbridge development, one of the largest developments of its type in Central Florida, continues to make measurable progress on Phase 1 of its plan by securing critical construction permits.
14. SIMCOM Training Breaks Ground
On Dec. 8, SIMCOM Aviation Training, a comprehensive aviation learning center, broke ground on a new 90,000-square-foot flight training center and global headquarters on Nemours Parkway in the Lake Nona Town Center.
15. UCF Lake Nona Medical Center
@ucflakenonamedicalcenter will begin caring for our community on March 1. A partnership between UCF Academic Health and @hcahealthcare’s North Florida Division, Lake Nona’s new hospital brings high quality, patient-centered care to surrounding communities in southeast Orlando and Osceola County, while also serving as a center for education and research.

November marked the return of one of the biggest events that USTA National Campus has had the privilege to host as the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters will be played from Oct. 31 through Nov. 7 right here at the campus in Lake Nona.
