This was a sight that turned my car around immediately. Driving down Tavistock Lakes Road, I noticed a sweet little boy sitting in his carriage very excitedly pointing to the cows and chatting away with a brown cow. His mother was by his side educating him, I’m sure. It was the sweetest vision as the sun was setting in the distance across the field, which gave a golden glow.
Cohen Pedulat’s hands were getting cold, but this precious two-year-old would not even consider his mother putting a warm blanket on him. He was so excited that his entire body was attempting to stand in the carriage. Fortunately, his three-month-old brother Callum was resting, quiet and warm, on the first floor of the carriage. The family dog, Draco the mini goldendoodle, was right by the boys’ side making sure the cows did not get out of line. Thank you, Draco!
The HUGE brown cow was so engaging that it was quite clear this was not its first rodeo with little people at the gates. Somehow, there was a conversation from cow-speak to kid-speak during their visit, and as Cohen pointed at the cow, the cow’s eyes were affixed on Cohen while its head was moving up and down. I sense that was a YES for whatever question Cohen asked. As Cohen and his mother walked away, the brown cow continued to stare after them. Just amazing!
Craig and Aleceia Peludat live in Laureate Park and visit the cows often, especially when out walking, and Cohen gives the directive to MOOve across the street for his visit. Somehow, I think there may be a large farm in this family’s future!
