A flurry of twinkly lights and Christmas trees are transforming Lake Nona Town Center into a winter wonderland for the second annual Oh What Fun! A Holiday Festival.
The celebration of all things merry and bright began Friday, Nov. 29, and will run through Sunday, Jan. 5. The festival will be open Thursdays through Fridays 4-10 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Each week features outdoor skating (skate rentals start at $10 per person), a classic holiday movie, special visitors from the North Pole, strolling carolers, festive crafts for kids, and the occasional snowfall. There will even be a mailbox for letters to Santa.
Holiday movies will play every Thursday at 7 p.m. on The Beacon. Movies include The Santa Clause on Dec. 5, The Grinch (2018) on Dec. 12, and Elf on Dec. 19.
Santa will be visiting from the North Pole for pictures on Friday nights from 6-9 p.m. with complimentary digital downloads available.
The Merry Measures will be singing classic carols from Thursday through Saturday evenings.
Boxi Park is hosting holiday crafts on Sundays at noon, when kids will be able to decorate their own ornaments, make snow globes, and more. You’ll also find classic treats, food, and drinks at Boxi Park throughout the festival.
The festival grounds, including the skating rink, are available for private parties Mondays through Wednesdays for up to 200 guests. For more reservation details, contact Shannon Corrigan at Shannon.corrigan@tavistock.com.
