Concerning academics, Lake Nona High School offers 32 AP and 12 AICE courses. Dual enrollment opportunities exist with the University of Florida, the University of Central Florida, Barry University and Valencia College. As a matter of fact, Lake Nona High School is the ONLY school in Orange County within walking distance of a Valencia campus! Other specialized programs include Nursing (LPN), Robotics & Engineering, Fine Arts, Agriculture Science, World Languages, Criminology, Business and Health Sciences.
When it comes to student life, Lake Nona High School is home to over 60 clubs, including Debate, Chess, E-sports, Aviation, multiple NASA clubs and more! Add State Champion athletic programs and a Gold Medallion Student Government, and there’s truly something for everyone.

Introducing… THE MARINE CORPS ROTC
We’ve been working behind the scenes to bring a new opportunity to our Lions, and it’s finally happening! Next school year we are proud to introduce the Marine Corps ROTC to Lake Nona High School. Our hope is that this new program will create a whole new horizon of possibilities after high school for our alumni.
Otto J. Kraushaar Award
Congratulations to the Lake Nona HS band program on earning the prestigious Otto J. Kraushaar award. This special recognition is given to Florida schools that receive Straight Superior ratings at Marching Band, District Concert Band and State Concert Band music performance assessments during an academic year. Lake Nona is one of two schools in OCPS to earn the Kraushaar and, statewide, puts them in the top 8% of highly achieving, comprehensive music programs.

Our performing arts department has won 11 Applause Awards for their recent production of Carousel. The Applause Awards are an annual regional competition and celebration of excellence in high school musical theater, hosted by the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando.

GIRLS TENNIS STATE CHAMPIONS
Our girls tennis team has added three state championships to our school! Ashley Narath has become your Singles State Champion, dominating the court and representing THE PRIDE with true excellence and a champion mindset. Both Ashley Narath and Aspen Wooten have also become your Girls Tennis Doubles State Champions. Lastly, your Lake Nona Lions are the 2026 Florida State Champions in Ladies Tennis!
