The purpose of this event is to collect new toys. Thus, the most important “action” of your participation is the toy you will need to deliver on registration day in order to participate in this ride. That’s right, a new toy. It is after all a toy collection ride.
One thing is clear though, the toy you bring is of your choosing; we do not ask for a specific toy. When you go out to buy this toy, there will be one that catches your attention and touches your heart. That’s the toy you will bring to register on ride day.
But, the toy is just the pretext. This project consist of three (3) phases. Here’s the breakdown:
Riding with Santa: Massive toy collection effort done thru the cycling event. Here is where the party begins since not only do we ride, but we also come back to our starting point to enjoy typical puertorican food, music and more…
Santa’s Workshop: Here we segregate the toys that were donated and assign them to the communities and/or families that we will bring these toys to.
Act of Random Kindness:This is where the magic happens, on Xmas day from 9:30am to 10:30am, we go to the communities selected to deliver these toys. Whether it’s a big community gathering or what we call the “door to door” impact, we do this within the mentioned time frame. But, we don’t only deliver a toy, we also deliver a message to that child. And it is simple: “We don’t ask for anything in return, all we do ask is that if you feel a strong sense to help someone, you do so as we are doing with you”.
****If you would like to take part of any of these phases other than the cycling event, please communicate via email at: email@example.com***
Your inscription fee includes; hydration & snacks during the ride and rest stops and the oifficial event jersey (required for participation). Please use size chart to confirm your size.
Food will be available for purchase.
Last but not least, the American Diabetes Association of Orlando has once again teamed up with this cause and is helping us in a big way. In appreciation for there support, last year Riding with Santa raised $250.00 which were donated to the A.D.A. to help them continue their mission and vision. We are looking to increase this amount this year.
So, where do you see yourself riding and how many friends can you bring along?
Don’t wait, join us to do the right thing by helping others.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
