Orange County Government is again offering small businesses free personal protective equipment (PPE) because of the overwhelming positive response from the first program.
The County is providing reusable cloth masks to small businesses – all at no cost – this Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4. Businesses can choose from two pick-up sites at either Barnett Park or Downey Park. Operating hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Small businesses must pre-register at www.ocfl.net/PPE and bring a confirmation ticket.
In addition to small businesses, the County has provided PPE to many social service organizations. County residents can receive a kit of facemasks and hand sanitizer when they are tested for COVID-19 at an Orange County Health Services testing site. In order for small businesses in Orange County to qualify and pick-up, they must register by completing and submitting an Interest Form at www.ocfl.net/PPE.
In order to be eligible, small businesses can be either for-profit or non-profit with majority operations located in Orange County; and must employ no more than 40 individuals, regardless of full-time or part-time status. For more information on the two available pick-up sites and information about how to complete an Interest Form, visit www.ocfl.net/PPE. For more information, contact 311.
