Lighthouse Central Florida’s Early Intervention Program “Brings the Farm” to Local Children

July 10, 2024 by Contributing Writer

On June 1, Lighthouse Central Florida invited Bella’s Little Farm to its Kunze Avenue location, providing families in the Early Intervention program the chance to pet animals such as chickens, ducks, piglets and goats and listen to the sounds that they make. In addition, the children were able to connect with each other outside of their home environments.

Lighthouse’s Early Intervention program supports families with visually impaired children, ranging in age from newborns to five years. In addition to providing in-home services, Lighthouse coordinators plan activities across Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties throughout the year to encourage community integration.
