(Lake Nona, FL) August 9th, 2017
The development of the Lake Nona Town Center continues with the recent announcement of the Lake Nona Town Center Hotel.
Tavistock announced this latest addition to the list of business coming to the Town Center; a new 215-room hotel designed by architect giant Arquitectonica, that will feature “a sleek exterior, grand motor court entrance, sophisticated lobby, ballroom for 200, plus a vibrant rooftop pool and lounge with private event capabilities” (Tavistock).
The rooms will each feature efficient workplace stations, ergonomic seating and integrated linear lighting, as well as spacious rooms and bathrooms; perfect for business professionals staying in the hotel, or those traveling with families.
The hotel will have over 6,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 3,200-square-foot ballroom, executive boardroom and two smaller meeting rooms. The ground floor retail will be situated next to The Lawn, a common area in the Town Center.
The 24-hour hotel gym will feature high tech equipment from Lake Nona partner Technogym, which previously partnered with Lake Nona to craft the first seamlessly connected fitness ecosystem in the U.S.
Guests staying at the hotel will have access to Lake Nona’s fiber network providing internet at speeds approximately 200x the U.S. average.
Not only that, but the hotel will reside right in the middle of the social center of the Nonahood; surrounded by the complexes of medical city, and the growing commercial real estate of the Town Center, where the rooftop view of the hotel will provide an excellent spot to view.
The hotel will provide transport to and from the Orlando International Airport, due to it’s easy access to SR-417, making travel for business and pleasure even easier for Orlando’s 68 million annual visitors, including those that find themselves in Lake Nona.
Construction for this latest addition is set to begin in early next year.
Arquitectonica, famous for it’s modern and sleek designs, has projects from all over the world, including Miami, New York City, and Hong Kong.
“We are excited to be designing this new hotel in such a community as progressive as Lake Nona,” said Bernardo Fort-Brescia, principal of Arquitectonica. “Our goal is a building whose architecture represents the aspirations of this new town: fresh, vibrant, memorable and of its place.”
Tavistock continues to take pride in the Nonahood’s growth, and there will certainly be more interesting developments to come on the Town Center’s expansion.
“The Town Center hotel will be a defining anchor within Lake Nona’s premier entertainment, dining and retail district,” said Jim Zboril, President of Tavistock Development Company. “Its iconic and thoughtful design will offer Orlando visitors a first-class location with fun and exciting amenities. With the south terminal expansion underway at the airport, we believe that this unique property will cater to airport travelers as well as those who intend to make Lake Nona their final destination.”
