Bowling For Drew

The BACON Foundation, together with Boardwalk Bowling will be hosting a Bowl-a-thon on Saturday, July 8, 2017. You may bowl 2 games, shoe rental included, anytime between the hours of 9:00a.m. and 6:00p.m. Cost will be $15 per bowler and All proceeds with be donated to the Hazlett family.

As many of you know Drew Hazlett, a member of the Lake Nona/Moss Park area community has been hospitalized at Florida Hospital Orlando twice during the months of May and June, even missing his high school graduation ceremony, though the hospital and his school were so amazing in letting him be a part of his graduation from his hospital bed.
Drew has recently been admitted permantly in order to stabilize his heart…..his amazing medical team believes a viral infection attacked his heart. He had emergency surgery and was placed on an Ecmo machine. And more recent was given a BiVAD which is working with the ECMO machine. He is still in the CVICU and will be there until he gets his new heart. The doctor’s hope is that his heart will slowly start to show signs of improvement, however he is now on the HEART TRANSPLANT LIST. If you knew Drew you’d know he genuinely cares for others and he’s been sad to think that someone else might lose their life to save his. The Hazlett family has put their hope and faith in Our Lord and Savior. Please pray for him to be healthy and for the perfect heart to arrive. Pray for the loved ones who will make the ultimate sacrifice of life to save the Hazlett’s son, Drew. Pray for strength, hope and wisdom for Drew’s family and for Drew’s medical team.
