Best Friends in the Nonahood: The Tale of Odin, Freya and the Bow-Wow Bunch

They say that people rescue dogs, but in this case, Odin, a sweet little Husky, hopped into a car to  select his owner! Smart pooch indeed!

Nadia Rivera and her partner, Caleb, tried to find the owner to no avail, so they put a notice of the  lost dog online. Those who viewed Odin online wanted him until Nadia and Caleb decided they  would adopt him themselves. It did, however, take time for Odin to accept affection in his new  home. One year later, Freya, another adorable Husky, needed to be rehomed and thus joined the clan. Freya was only 4 months old and required some serious training. Freya quickly learned to take advantage of Odin, and she stole his dinner each night after quickly gobbling her own. After  training with much patience from Nadia and Caleb, Odin and Freya now have become BFF dinner dates!

The end? Not a chance! The amazing Nadia is filled with love and kindness for pooches and dog-sits for 5 or 6 additional dogs at a time. Although Nadia first got the jitters at the thought of this, the pack introduced themselves to each other and now cuddle and nap together, in addition to riding to the park in Nadia’s Bow-Wow Uber. One of the pooch parents at the dog park saw Nadia with her Bow-Wow bunch and said, “If I ever leave my dog with anyone, it will be with Nadia. She is so kind and attentive.” With so many dogs in their “puppy parade,” as Nadia refers to them, she becomes a cleaning wiz without letting a day go by. She was determined not to have her home smell like a kennel.

Nadia enjoys salsa classes, which I am sure is a great release after tending to the pooches all day  long, but she always enjoys returning to her furry friends. We need more dog-lovers in this world  like you, Nadia! And, by the way, can you pooch sit our dog?
