Best Friends in the Nonahood: Say Hello to Phoebe!

May 11, 2023 by Patricia Reber

Guess who turned two in November? Say hello to Phoebe, the Goldendoodle who looks more like a Golden Irish Retriever and Irish Setter mix. Either way, she is absolutely adorable and very energetic! Phoebe lives with Brad and Dana Fleeman and their two kids. The family moved to Florida in 2019, and more recently that meant good news for Phoebe since her original owners were no longer able to care for her.

Phoebe and her human siblings, Rylie (now 7 1⁄2) and Max (now 5) keep the Fleeman house alive and jumping! Imagine the energy in that household! In fact, if the family left Phoebe alone too long at home, she would get to the kitchen sink to chew things up! Now that’s a talented pooch! Phoebe is maturing, however, and becoming much better at staying home alone. Not sure if she reads, watches TV or plays with Max’s toys.

Phoebe is popular at the dog park where she runs with dogs of all sizes and breeds. She is always accompanied by Max, who brings a fire truck, a wheelbarrow, or even a fishing rod to entertain himself while Phoebe is busy with her dog friends. It’s certain that Phoebe could work for Uber in her future, as she loves the car and helps drop off the Fleeman kids to school, picking them up and taking Rylie to dance. Imagine the extra income in Phoebe’s future!

Not only is Phoebe adorable and fun loving, but she is very kind! So kind that she allows Brad and Dana to share the king-size bed with her! Now, how kind is that?
