Our local senior living home celebrated its third year of being open on Oct. 10. Residents and members of local businesses all came out to join the party. There was mingling, eating, drinking, piano playing and most importantly, love and support.
The many residents of Watercrest were joined by family and friends in this gathering and the unity filled the room. The mission statement of Watercrest is to welcome, to care and to serve. Joan T. Williams is the CFO of the senior living facility, and as she spoke at the event, she pinned employees who had been there from the official opening, each year earning a pin representing one portion of Watercrest’s mission statement. The first year represents “to welcome,” the second year represents “to care,” and the third year of employment represents “to serve.”
Food served at the celebration ranged from appetizers such as a deconstructed taco salad and prosciutto wrapped green apples on a crostini to entrees and desserts of roast beef and chocolate mousse. The food was delicious and there were smiles all around.
Congratulations to Watercrest from all of us here at Nonahood News and best of luck in the company’s future endeavors!
