The Psalm 34 Bakery

January 22, 2026 by Patricia Reber

Who completes their master’s degree and starts a new business at the same time?  Meet Mirrett Saad, the young lady who is not only smart but who loves to bake. Mirrett always dreamed of having a bakery, and on June 6, her dream came true. She teamed together with her sister Madonna to form The Psalm 34 Bakery. Mirrett started baking several years ago while she was still attending college. She continuously tried new recipes and started sharing them with family, friends and co-workers. Business was booming as word got out, and people eventually asked for personalized orders.

This year, they began selling at farmers’ markets in Central Florida. In addition to the Lake Nona Market, which takes place the first Wednesday of each month, they sell at the Kingdom Creations Market at Nona Adventure Park and other pop-up markets in Baldwin Park and at Oh Hey Café.

Now these two are “smart cookies” as they say!  She was inspired by Psalm 34 in the Bible, which says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good,” so she named her business Psalm 34 Bakery. She was determined to stay true to her faith throughout this entire process.

Some of her specialties are banana bread, brown butter chocolate chunk cookies, tres leches cakes, salted caramel brownies, funfetti sugar cookies, pound cake and cheesecake bites and whole cakes with flavors such as strawberry, Nutella and Oreo.

Be sure to visit Mirrett and Madonna at Psalm 34 Bakery on your next visit to one of these markets.
