Sunbridge Community Arrives to Orange and Osceola Counties

August 10, 2021 by Camille Ruiz Mangual

Sunbridge, a new region emerging from the developers of Lake Nona, announced the standards and amenities that will set apart their second, single-family residential neighborhood, Weslyn Park. The community encompasses more than 27,000 acres in both Orange and Osceola counties.

Weslyn Park’s first phase will include 577 homes at build-out, located just south of the Lake Nona community along Cyrils Drive across from Del Webb Sunbridge. Construction of the neighborhood began this spring with plans to open in the fall.

Ashton Woods, David Weekley Homes, Craft Homes, Pulte Home and Toll Brothers will design and build the first homes in the Weslyn Park neighborhood. Each builder brings a distinct and remarkable portfolio in addition to a history of quality and record-breaking sales within the award-winning Lake Nona community. Pulte Homes is also developing Del Webb Sunbridge across the street from Weslyn Park. Del Webb Sunbridge is a 55+ active adult community. The first residents of Del Webb Sunbridge were welcomed in the summer of 2020.

Weslyn Park will include a variety of home types and lot sizes ranging from townhomes to larger single-family lots. Homes will be complete with custom exterior color palettes, unique siding and trim choices, and indigenous landscaping that marks the Sunbridge building ethic. The Sunbridge building ethic is intended to complement the natural, beautiful Florida landscape in which the community will be enveloped.

Within the community, builders will build 100 percent frame homes. Weslyn Park frame homes will incorporate James Hardie® siding products as well as essentials of sustainable living through energy efficiency, sustainable materials, improved design and construction.

The neighborhood will be designed to enable the “Sunbridge lifestyle,” connecting with nature and neighbors alike. One of the community’s prominent features will be a charming, varied street scene, including houses of different styles such as traditional and contemporary. Many of the houses will include covered front porches that usher Weslyn Park residents into nature and encourage connections.

To invite residents into nature, Weslyn Park will feature open space, playgrounds, sport courts, ponds and natural areas. The neighborhood will also create gathering spaces, such as a community garden, a park and a leisure pool. In addition, the community will have both paved and unpaved pathways marking the Sunbridge trail network and connecting residents to both the community’s amenities and nature.

Subridge will also offer one of the most powerful technology infrastructures found in any community in America, capable of delivering 10GB speed. Sunbridge will serve as one of the first communities to exclusively offer its residents “over-the-top” (OTT) service as opposed to traditional cable television service. Each Sunbridge home will be equipped with internet. Homeowners will then choose their own video via an OTT service. This will allow television content to be provided via high-speed internet connection as opposed to a cable or satellite provider. Residents will be offered package options, creating an experience like traditional cable with all the advantages of streaming services.

Future development plans for the Sunbridge community include various neighborhood amenities, a trail network, an Osceola County K-8 school that will open in 2023, and a planned waterfront recreational area where people will be able to work, shop, boat, dine and attend other events.

Sunbridge will open Basecamp – an information center and activity hub that will give visitors a sneak peek of life at Sunbridge – this fall. To learn more about Sunbridge, please visit SunbridgeFl.com.
