School Update: Laureate Park Elementary

December 2, 2020 by Suzanne Workum

The Laureate Park Longhorns stood out for a variety of different causes this month. We celebrated Unity Day by wearing orange. Our Longhorns stand up against bullying, and we showed it by turning our school orange for the day. We also Got our Pink On in light of breast cancer warriors. During Red Ribbon Week, which is a week-long recognition of drug abuse prevention, our youngest to oldest Longhorns turned their backs on drugs by wearing their shirts backwards. Another day, we put a Cap on It by wearing our favorite hats. We ended the month of October by sharing the books we love with our Storybook Character Day. We saw Eric Carle’s characters, Dog Man, Winnie the Pooh, Fancy Nancy, and many more favorites.
