Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbakoa confirmed its second location will open soon in Lake Nona.
The restaurant, which is tentatively set to open in the first quarter of 2017, will be located in Lake Nona Village on Narcoossee Road. Pig Floyd’s joins several other restaurants in the Village including Graeme McDowell’s Nona Blue, Makis Place, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Panera Bread, and Piazza Italia.
“I selected Lake Nona to compliment the local culinary scene and Lake Nona region and community,” said Pig Floyd’s owner Thomas ‘Tito’ Ward. “The opportunity to grow our brand and introduce international barbakoa(barbecue) to a growing central community was important to me. Lake Nona offers a real sense of community and we’re excited to call Lake Nona home.”
“Pig Floyd’s is the latest example of our commitment to attracting homegrown, limited unit concepts to Lake Nona that offer great food and exceptional dining experiences,” said Skipper Peek, vice president of commercial sales and development with Tavistock Development Company, the developer of Lake Nona. Pig Floyd’s joins other Lake Nona specialty restaurants, including Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine, Canvas Restaurant and Market, Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen, Nona Blue and Piazza Italia.
