Physicians at the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute Gastroenterology – Dr. Phillips have opened the Lakeview Surgery Center, a new ambulatory surgery center, as part of their pledge to offer patients high-quality healthcare closer to home. The new surgery center will provide general gastroenterology outpatient procedures. The Lakeview Surgery Center opened in the Southwest Orlando corridor on the Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital campus.

We believe the center will be very beneficial for our patients who need this service.”
The Lakeview Surgery Center is located at 7448 Docs Grove Circle, Suite 108, just a short walk from the hospital. It has approximately 10,000 square feet of space with three state-of-the-art procedure rooms and 12 pre-op/recovery beds for patients in the center. The center will also be Medicare-certified and fully accredited by the Joint Commission.
Patients can expect expert, board-certified physicians to deliver a number of gastroenterology surgery procedures, including:
- Screening colonoscopy
- Colonoscopy procedures
- Upper GI endoscopy
- Upper GI procedures
The Lakeview Surgery Center’s team is led by Christina Covelli, M.D., medical director, general gastroenterology, Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute. Dr. Covelli also oversees gastroenterology practices at numerous Orlando Health campuses, including Orlando Health Dr. P.
