Breaking – This evening one of Lake Nona’s very own will be attempting to set a Guinness World Record on national television. Matt Troy Jones, the ‘Fruit Ninja’ of Youtube fame will be joining Gordon Ramsay live on the set of The F Word tonight, 6/28/17 at 9PM EST on Fox. Be sure to tune in and root your fellow Nonahood resident on as he attempts to go down in history as the fastest watermelon chopper in the world.
Matt’s watermelon-chopping exploits are well-known – his famous YouTube video is nearing 8 million views. Once this caught the attention of the producers of The F Word, Matt was quickly whisked away to attempt to officially set the world record.
Stay tuned for an update on whether or not Matt succeeds in bringing home the world record – we’re all hoping he does!
Update: Matt successfully set the Guinness World Record for dicing a watermelon! Clocking in at 18.29 seconds, his attempt has officially set the world record time. Lake Nona is now the home of a new world record holder! Congratulations, Matt!
