Lake Nona Community Newspaper, Creatively and Independently Produced by the Residents of Lake Nona
Join UPC-Lake Nona for a community-wide event helping sustainable agriculture programs in Africa. On Saturday, Sept 23, we’ll be assembling 60,000 vegetable seed packets. GAiN (a humanitarian aid organization) will ship the seeds to various locations in Africa. GAiN and their partners will help the recipients plant and grow the vegetables. They’ll have food to eat, crops to sell, and seeds to plant for the next season, greatly improving their quality of life.
You can play a meaningful role in this program! Anyone is welcome to help prepare the seed packets — adults and children alike. Plus, we’ll send you updates as the seeds are distributed and lives are changed.
