HAVE A LOVED ONE WITH A MENTAL ILLNESS?

Starting in April, NAMI Greater Orlando will offer a free and confidential 12-week educational class in Lake Nona. This class is designed to give participants the opportunity to understand mental illness, as well as receive life-long recovery tools. Taught by trained family members with a lived experience, this class covers:

• Schizophrenia
• Mood disorders (bipolar disorder, major depression)
• Panic and Anxiety disorders
• Obsessive compulsive disorder
• Handling crisis and relapse
• Medications
• Listening and communication techniques
• Problem solving skills
• Recovery and rehabilitation
• Self-care around worry and stress.
