Entries Now Open for Seventh Annual My Best Friend Wine Label Contest

July 12, 2020 by Mackenzie Ventura

As we near another month of observing social distancing protocols, you may realize that you’ve been spending more time at home with your furry friends rather than being out and about. This year so far has been an exceptional opportunity to realize all of the wonderful ways that our pets can be there for us during difficult times.

The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando knows that every pet and their person have a unique story to share and are looking to amplify your heartwarming stories in the seventh annual “My Best Friend Wine Label Contest.” In partnership with Quantum Leap Winery, the photo contest gives proud pet parents the chance to have their furry family member featured on a wine label.

Voting will be open from Aug. 1-31, with a $1 donation per vote. The grand prize pet winners with the most votes will have their image, name, and short story featured on the wine label for the 2020 My Best Friend Wine, produced by Quantum Leap Winery here in Orlando. As a new addition to this year’s contest, the second through fifth place runners-up will also receive a case of wine featuring their pets. All proceeds from the photo contest and wine sales benefit the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando to shelter pets in need.

“There’s nothing our community could love more now than a dose of adorable animals,” said Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando executive director Stephen Bardy. “In return, through the ‘My Best Friend Label Contest,’ we are extremely grateful for the support our organization receives and most certainly needs to keep caring for, sheltering, and finding homes for our beloved pets in these continued trying times. We are happy to join forces again with our wonderful partners at Quantum Leap Winery, and we hope everyone gets in on the fun and enters their furry friend in our very sweet and fun contest this year.”

If you believe that your furry friend has star potential, entries will be accepted through July 31 at www.gogophotocontest.com/mybestfriend. For information on the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, visit petallianceorlando.org.
