School Update: NorthLake Park Community School

December 31, 2020 by Contributing Writer

Kindergarteners always enjoy their “Gingerbread Man” unit during the holidays. Two students created designs that were “out of this world.” The force was with them!

During art class, students created different winter and holidays scenes. This gave them the chance to practice their skills of color, shading, proportion, and perspective.

Staff members participated in a Christmas Vacation Day and were encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts, hula skirts, hats, and other vacation garb.

Teachers were surprised by the NLP Hot Chocolate Express. Other staff members supervised classes while teachers went into the hallway for a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie … complete with candy canes, marshmallows, and whipped cream!

Happy holidays from NLP!
