Orlando VA Medical Center Hosts 38th NVWG Handcycling
On July 31, the Orlando VA Medical Center hosted handcycling for the 38th National Veterans Wheelchair Games. The event began at 7:30 a.m as 73 veterans raced around a 10K course constructed around the VA. Participants ranged from first-timers to seasoned athletes. Fisher House Receives Universal Orlando Foundation Grant
Since its official opening earlier this year in February and taking its first guest in April, the Orlando VA Medical Center’s Fisher House has received $30,000 in grants. Universal Orlando Foundation donated $25,000, and Lockheed Martin gave $5,000.
