Camaraderie Foundation, a nonprofit that provides private counseling and support services to post – 9/11 Service members, Veterans and their families, will host its sixth annual Ruck Sack Race at Medical City in Lake Nona on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
Take the challenge of “Walking, Running or Rucking a Mile in Their Boots” along Veteran’s Way in Medical City on a 5K, 10K or 12-mile course. Participants can join just for fun as a walker/runner, or compete for prizes as a Warrior, in which they must carry at least 35 pounds in a ruck or backpack. Proceeds from the event fund private counseling scholarships and support programs.
The cost to participate is $60 for Warrior, $45 for a walker/runner, and $25 for children (under 14). Several sponsorship opportunities are also available. Sponsorship packages include participant registrations, name or company logo displayed on signage, booth space and additional benefits which vary by level.
