Shayan T. Vyas, MD, is a critical care specialist who joined Nemours Children’s Health System in October 2012 and became the medical director for Nemours CareConnect in 2015. CareConnect is a HIPAA-compliant telehealth offering available for camera-equipped smartphones, tablets and desktop/laptop computers. In October 2015, CareConnect expanded from serving emergency departments and NICUs with specialist video consultations to include urgent care visits for children in Florida.

Dr. Vyas is a member of the Florida American Academy of Pediatrics telemedicine section, the American Academy of Pediatrics section on telemedicine and the American Telemedicine Association section on pediatrics.
