Next to Santa, Buddy the Elf is one of the most iconic holiday characters. His passion for people and sweets make him incredibly loveable. So, when Lake Nona High School’s Theatre Department announced that they would be doing Elf the Musical, Jr. as their winter show, it made perfect sense that they would honor this beloved, sugar-obsessed, giant-sized imp’s sweet tooth with a themed character breakfast that includes the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup. And, of course, PANCAKES … lots and lots of pancakes!
The cast and crew from Elf have more than just pancakes planned for this special event. The students will be running craft stations, painting faces, helping kids write letters to Santa and performing a few musical numbers from the actual show. Buddy the Elf and his friends will also be available to take pictures with, so don’t forget to bring your camera!
The event is FREE and open to all because of the generous support from Kevin and Yvette Kendrick of The Kendrick Team at Keller Williams. “We are excited and proud to sponsor Santa’s Workshop Weekend in Lake Nona and the Buddy the Elf Pancake Breakfast. We are passionate about making a difference as well as giving back to our community and our schools. We also LOVE supporting the LNHS Theatre Department … so much talent!” said Yvette Kendrick.
Donations will be accepted at the door with 100 percent of the money raised from the breakfast going to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida.
Don’t be a “cotton-headed ninny-muggin!” Mark your calendar today and make plans to escape to the magical world of Buddy the Elf with a free themed pancake breakfast. It will be fun for the whole family. Holiday PJs and/or costumes are encouraged!
