What do you get when you combine the elements of tennis, squash and badminton? PADEL – the fastest growing sport in the world with more than 12 million players. Already popular throughout Spain and other parts of Europe, Padel is now making its way to the US with an introductory event scheduled to happen right here in Orlando.
The 2019 Racquet & Paddle Sports Conference, which will be held at the USTA National Campus here in Lake Nona and the Orange County Convention Center on Jan. 23-25, is a 3-day trade show experience designed to bring racquet sport professionals and industry leaders together. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the sport of Padel and to see top players in the world such as Marta Ortega, Seba Nerone and Francisco Riveroll play exhibition games with Harry Gilbert, former USPTA President, acting as the official umpire.
There will be meet-and-greet opportunities with the professionals and even a chance to try out the latest racquet and padel sports equipment. Throughout the conference will be presentations, panel discussions, round tables and “TOM Talks,” their version of TED Talks, given by members of the Tennis Owners & Managers Association.
If you are looking to network, make connections, or even just learn more about the sport of Padel, this conference is a must. For more information on the 2019 Racquet & Paddle Sports Conference or to register to attend go to: www.racquetpaddlesportsshow.com/Home/.
