This is why The City of St. Cloud’s Parks & Recreation Department is starting an annual event called The Great Pumpkin Smash! A simple 2-hour event at Centennial Park the following Friday evening after Halloween where anybody and everybody is invited to come turn their old pumpkins into a green great time. Why trash a pumpkin when you can smash it!? We will have several methods for attendees to “smash” their pumpkins and then afterwards\, we will turn the otherwise methane producing waste into a hearty and helpful compost.
